Dr. Channabasava Pattaddevaru

Shri Ma.Gha.Cha.Dr.Channabasava Pattaddevaru founded S.V.E society in the year 1963.  Born on 22^ndDecember, 1960, Swamiji lived for fruitful 109 years with his hard work, services to humanity and downtrodden till he breathed his last on 22^ndApril 1999.

He was one of the most respected and honored pontiff of this land who stood by what he preached. In true sense he was a perfect follower of 12^th century reformer saint Basaveshwara. He contributed his maximum for freedom fighting and existence of Kanada language in the region by providing free education to poor children without any discrimination.

His vision to educate the people of backward area led to the formation of SVE society which grew to the present status with his blessing, encouragement and active patronage. Swamiji was honored by late Shri Giani Zail Singh, Former President of India conferring on him with National Integrity Award. Recognizing his Yeomen services, Gulbarga University conferred on him the honorary degree of "Doctor of Literature".

He was popularity known as "Nadedaduva Devaru" means God who walks in this region. One is struck at first sight itself by Swamiji's graceful humanity and blissful simplicity of life. On the whole he was an institution by himself in cause of humanity.

Shri Bheemanna Khandre

Former President of SVE society Bhalki, Shri Bheemanna Khandre is freedom fighter, educationist, champion politician and co-operative movement leader also.

A true discipline of his Guru, Pattaddevaru Swamiji, has played dynamic role in formation of SVE society and number of the other activities taken up by Swamiji for the right cause of society and upliftment of poor.

It is under his dynamic leadership that SVE Society has grown from strength and has spread over vast areas providing multidimensional education. He was member of both the houses of Legislature of Karnataka and also served as Minister for Transportation

He is the founder of two sugar factories under co-operative sector and has started number of other ventures. At present he is president of Akhil Bharat Veerashaiva Mahasabha and still leads from the front for the cause of poor and downtrodden. He has been hounered by various organizations including "Suvarna Karnataka Rajyotsava Award" from Govt. of Karnataka. A veteran leader known for his discipline, courage and character is popularity called as "Born Fighter".
